唱片由王治平担任制作人把关全局。葛大为、姚若龙、施人诚、陈信延、蓝小邪、郑楠、施立等一众华研的老班底全力打造，倪安东和他的好朋友仔仔，共同完成了专辑中超过半数作品的创作。以抒情摇滚为主轴，搭配两首标准的台湾式K情歌，再加一首比赛时杀遍众人的翻唱成名曲‚The Blower’s Daughter，诚意满满，定位明确，保证传唱度的同时，又能让人从中读出他的想法和态度。
同名主打《第一课》是个诚恳的开场白，漂洋过海来到台湾追逐梦想，葛大为替他写下了「练习变成大人，孤单是第一课」、「扮演新的角色，放弃是第一课」，想勉励他也告诉我们，想要拿下高分，就必须先经历艰难的跨越。歌曲中有两个亮点，弦乐的部分让歌曲显得灵动，倪安东自己填的RAP词既是诚意的自我介绍也为整首歌增加了一个跳跃的间场。
首波的‚《Sorry That I Loved You》 应该是专辑中最有流行潜质的一首歌，倪安东自己填的词简单却内心，被他沧桑的声音唱来更有一种忆起旧爱痛彻心扉的感觉。上口的旋律搭配典型的英伦编曲，让这首歌的情绪得到了最直接的释放。
在两首台式K歌《散场的拥抱》和《幸福事小》中，倪安东用了同样的呐喊式唱腔，表达的情绪却截然相反，前者是“越是挣脱越缠绕”的无力感，后者是“海枯石烂与我无关”的幸福感。当你不知不觉被感动的时候，不得不感叹他对歌曲情绪的掌控程度，那不是单靠技巧可以做到的，是一个水到渠成的情绪爆点。
三首美式摇滚虽然来自不同的创作者，却不约而同的诠释了尽兴的态度。《末日快乐》一定会成为日后的Party指定曲之一，“把每一天/当末日来过”，抱着这样的态度尽兴的活，你还能不抛开所有压力，快乐起来吗?《不耐烦》中有股不可一世的霸气，“我就是/不容许遗憾/左右我的未来”“我就是/看不惯逃避/将每个人主宰”着紧生命的每一刻，勇敢做自己。《缠斗》是倪安东和仔仔合作的创作，歌曲主歌部分的频繁换气制造的休止效果很特别，“关怀/不能当控制的借口”在爱情里缠绕拉锯的人们，都应该听听这首歌，要爱得尽兴但决不能失去自我。
《绅士》歌如其名，中板英伦外衣里，包裹着男生的倔强逞强的内心，像个绅士一样的洒脱放手，把伤痛交给时间。
还剩两首歌是专辑中编曲最亮的作品。《恶梦》用华丽的钢琴加弦乐编曲，复古的优雅Tango节奏，营造出夜的氛围，回忆的氛围，更是一个完全封闭的自我空间，被困在回忆里的我们，就像活在恶梦里，解救不了自己，原谅不了自己，找不到自己。
最安静的编曲往往最能释放情绪的张力，如戴佩妮的《爱疯了》《Amen》苏打绿的《是我的海》那般，这首《藏起来》用安静的钢琴铺垫，弦乐和贝斯在一步步的加强和进入，情绪也在步步深入。从平静到激动到崩溃边缘最终回到现实，那是一种撕开伤口的痛彻心扉。这样的痛，只有在他不顾一切的呐喊中，才能得到释放。
倪安东用他的第一课告诉我们，唱歌，不是一个技术活，是心与心的撞击，情绪+态度=完美诠释。

倪安东 (Anthony Neely) 在 19/11 发行了他的首张专辑 《第一课》。其中一首英文歌《Sorry That I Loved You》更是倪安东亲自填词，还特别请到 “超级星光大道” 的恩师 --- 陶子姐担任中译的工作。
倪安东是中美混血儿，2009年参加中视的《超级星光大道（第五届） 》踢馆赛一鸣惊人，连续五次拿下二十分或以上的高分，是星光历史上第一个拿到超越满分25分的选手。倪安东在加州圣地亚哥大学双修心理系及戏剧系，热爱表演的他，与好友Eddie在YouTube上开设《crazy talkshow》节目。
倪安东第一次参赛演唱的歌曲是萧煌奇的《你是我的眼》，他说其实并不完全懂得歌词涵义，只是被旋律感动，然后按自己的方式去演绎。评审张宇听完倪安东的演唱，甚至眼眶有些湿润，大赞道：“我第一次听到有人唱《你是我的眼》，跟萧煌奇唱出不同味道来。”
最后，倪安东以24分战胜星光班选手林育泽，踢馆成功。如同陶子所言，从今天、此刻开始，倪安东的人生不是他自己能掌控的了。接下来四场比赛，倪安东几乎以秋风扫落叶般的声势击败对手。
其中，他自弹自唱英文歌《The Blower's Daughter》，一句 “I can't take my eyes off you” 感动全场，评审袁惟仁动情拭泪。陶子更即兴宣布：“如果今天评审觉得五个灯不够的话，你可以举一只手表示第六个灯，站起来表示是十分。”黄韵玲激动站起给出10分，张宇举起双手给出7分，于是，倪安东拿下了星光史上最高分的33分，成为继萧敬腾之后“星光”又一传奇人物。
倪安东的比赛视频被四处转载，在网络上的人气高不可挡。他的深情歌声和样子让众多网友着迷，纷纷发表“花痴”言论－－－
